| DESCRIPTION : |
Type KN 1.8 is a reversible, TWO POSITION actuator, used
for operating Damper/Valves in Electric or Electronic
modulating circuits.
Following models are available: |
1) KN-1.8/D :
Reversible motor, available with travel
limit switches at each end of travel. Cams can be adjusted
suitable for angle of rotation from 0° to 180°.

2) KN-1.8/E :
Basically available in one fixed angle
of rotation 90° with individual potentiometer of fixed range of
500 or 135 ohms.
|
3) KN-1.8/EIZC :
All the features of 'E' Motor, a vailable
in angle of rotation 90°, plus electronic error balancing
bridge, to position the motor, in accordance with the signal
received from (Series 90) Thermostat or Controller slidewire
(135 ohms only). |
4) KN-1.8/E/MA :
This actuator incorporates all the
facilities of 'E' motor plus detached interfacing card to accept
signal of 4 to 20 mA and position the actuator in accordance
with the signal received. |
5) KN-1.8/EN :
The actuator incorporates all features
of KN-18/E plus Interface Card to accept 0(2) to 1O VDC
signal and position the actuator in accordance with the
signal received. |
6) KN-1.8/E/MA/RPT :
The actuator incorporates all the
features of KN-1.8/E/MA, plus output card to offer 4 to 20mA
signal for either remote position indication or giving signal to
another KN-18/E/MA actuator to position simultaneously in
accordance with signal received. |
7) KN-1.8/E/RPT :
All the features available with KN-
18/E actuator, in addition 4 to 20mA output card for remote
position indicator or salving other actuator. |
8) KN-1.8/E/MA512AN :
All the features of KN-1.8/E, plus a
box containing 4 to 20mA interface card, in addition 3.1/2
digit LED indication, to indicate percentage of actuator travel
(valve opening/closing). Box has a facility for manual, as
well as auto switching. The manual facility is to adjust the
actuator manually, with the help of Push Button Station,

| FEATURES |
Actuators are suitable for 230 Volts, 50/60 C/s. AC Supply,
as a standard. Also available suitable for 24 V/11O V 50/60
C/s. AC. Supply. Die Cast Aluminium Case, low inertia, high
resistence rotor, provided with self brake. Oil filled self
lubricating gearing, rated for ambient temperature from
20°C to 50°C. Interchangeable with other imported
proportioning motor, using existing accessories. |

ACCESSORIES : |
LIMIT SWITCHES ( L2) :
Valve Actuator type KN-05/ KN-10, can be made available with additional pair of Limit Switches, having
1 NO & 1 NC Potential free contact but duly wired. |
INTERFACING UNIT(mA) :
Actuators are originally fitted with 500 ohms potentiometer (L1), can be further connected with mA
interface, to receive signal of 4 to 20 mA from external PID controller and adjust the valve accordingly,
This is also available with 3.1/2 digit DPM (Digital Panel Meter) to indicate the percentage of valve
opening. |
REMOTE POSITION TRANSMITTER (PTR) :
The Valve Actuator original fitted with 500 ohms independent potentiometer (L1), can be fitted with
Remote Position Transmitter, giving output of 4 to 20 mA. Also available with 3.1/2 digit DPM to
indicate percentage of opening of valve, with this single slide wire mA card cannot be used. |
INTERFACING UNIT (mA)WITH REMOTE POSITION TRANSMETTER (PTR) :
Valve Actuator originally fitted with Two 500 ohms potentiometer (L1 & L2) can be used with mA card to
position the valve according to controller requirements and give a remote position transmission of 4 to
20 mA, Both are supplied as an independent unit. |
