Thermal Equipment Trip, Type NV(T) |
DATA SHEET
NV(T) |
|
| |
|
FEATURES :
- Isolates the gas pipe line in the event of fire.
- Offers high thermal capacity
|
OPERATING PRINCIPLE :
If the ambient temperature rises above 100°C during fire, a seal in the NVT melts & releases a spring which is held by a retaining pin. The spring presses closing the Mechanism and enters into the seat, sealing and ensuring that no more gas can pass through the line. This fitting can withstand temperature of up to 925°C and will hold for a minimum period of ONE hour. |

| Temperature |
Max 925°C (Ambient 80 °C ) |
| Pressure |
Inlet pressure maximum 4 bar on gas |
| Leakage |
The NVT series devices are not meant for bubble tight shut off, but ensure that close Flame path to prevent escape of fire.At test pressure of 4 bar on air, leakage is less than 30ltr/ hour |
| Fluids |
Natural Gas, LPG in gaseous form, Town gas, Bio-Gas |
|
| |
APPLICATION :
Thermal equipment trips are used in gas installation, upstream of gas inlet lines, to protect equipments down side in event of a fire. The device isolates gas pipe line and provides long term protection against uncontrolled escape of gas and explosion. This unique thermal tripping shut off for valves comply with the requirements of German Fire System Ordinance and can be used in compliance with TRGI 86/96. |
